 TWO SPECIAL CEMETERY PROJECTS

Donations to either or both of these projects would need to be above and beyond what you typically donate, so that we can continue to meet our monthly obligations. Donations are also tax deductible.

            PROJECT #1:

   Shady Grove Memorial Fence

Project #1 is installing a new black powder-coated ironworks memorial fence featuring family surnames.  Orders for fence panels are currently ongoing, with the project coordinated by Marilyn Browning Burrow. If you missed the opportunity to participate, it is not too late. Marilyn may be contacted at 903-629-3336. Fence panels with your family’s surname start at $400, with family members often combining efforts to cover costs.  B&L Iron provides quality work and expert installation.  See links below to learn more about B&L Iron and to download the order form.

Project #2 is refurbishing the exterior of the church building, which is quickly becoming a necessity. The estimate for hardie board siding for durability (instead of vinyl), painting exterior, new windows and trim, new front doors, extensive front porch repair, new roofing, etc. is $29,000, which includes supplies and labor.  Directors have met twice to review estimates and to brainstorm some fundraising options to potentially help with the building refurbishing costs.  If sufficient funds can be raised, the Directors set a goal of January 2017 as the start date.  Check out the building photos below.
