There will be an additional one-time $100 clean-up fee charged per traditional burial, payable through the funeral home at time of death. Depending upon the amount of rain received after a burial, gravesites will settle and need to be filled in several times before smoothing down to a flat, level surface.
RULES & REGULATIONS OF THE SHADY GROVE CEMETERY ASSOCIATION, INC.:
1. No grave can be opened until paid in full.
2. Plots may be purchased on time, in accordance with our purchasing contract, but any balances must be paid before grave can be opened.
3. At the time of interment, there will be an additional one-time $100 clean-up fee charged per traditional burial, payable through the funeral home at time of death.
4. Purchaser of plot, if desired, may mark his/her plot with some type of small flat temporary marker, but a lawnmower must be able to mow over it; however, a permanent marker/headstone may be erected, if pre-planning arrangements are being done.
5. No additional concrete, brick, etc. curbing of plots will be allowed.
6. No additional trees, bushes, or invasive plants may be planted on or around plots or headstones or footstones or anywhere within the cemetery.
7. Within ten days after a burial, the Caretaker will remove all flowers left on the grave except artificial arrangements on a stand and pot flowers that can be fastened down.
8. All old artificial flowers that have faded out will be removed from the cemetery by the Caretaker.
9. The Board recommends the following flower arrangements: saddle arrangements, flowers in monument vases, and/or flowers in pots that are fastened down or secured so they will not blow over or away.
